This kit unlocks Sport Chrono — no dashboard clock required
The dashboard chronograph clock is NOT needed for Sport Chrono to work. Sport Plus mode, Launch Control (on PDK cars), PSM Sport, drive-mode selection, and the in-PCM lap timer all run off the steering wheel mode switch and the activation module — not the analog clock on top of the dash.
The clock is purely the visual element. Some Porsche owners want it for the look. Many don't. Either way, this kit delivers the full Sport Chrono driving experience without it.

If you own a 2019 Macan or newer (including 2022+ Macan facelift and Macan EV), this kit is the easiest install in our entire catalog:

No PIWIS coding — the activation module included in the kit auto-handshakes with your car's CAN bus on first power-on
No workshop visit — install the steering wheel and module yourself in about 2 hours
No remote coding session — skip that step entirely for 2019+ Macan
Sport Plus, Launch Control, PSM Sport, lap timer all live the moment you connect the module

For all other models (911, Cayenne, Panamera, Taycan, and pre-2019 Macan), PIWIS coding is required after install — see the installation section below.

Each variant ships with the steering wheel and activation module specific to that model. If your build doesn't match exactly any listed variant, send us your VIN and we'll confirm the right kit before charging.

How installation works
For 2019+ Macan owners (the easy path):

Choose your Macan 2019+ variant from the dropdown and order
Receive the kit
Install the steering wheel + activation module (about 2 hours)
Power on the car — the module auto-activates Sport Chrono, no further steps
Done

For all other models (911, Cayenne, Panamera, Taycan, pre-2019 Macan):

Choose your model variant from the dropdown and order
Receive the kit (typically 1-2 weeks to your door)
Install the steering wheel + activation module (about 2 hours, basic interior trim tools)
PIWIS coding — either at your local Porsche specialist, or via our remote coding service if you don't have PIWIS access
Sport Plus, Launch Control, and all other Sport Chrono functions are now live in your car
