PCM5 Dynamic Menu Upgrade for Porsche – Existing Whole Screen Customers
Only for PCM 5 cars that already have our Whole Screen CarPlay / Android Auto
Check first: this upgrade is for customers who bought Whole Screen CarPlay + Android Auto for PCM5 from us. It adds the new dynamic menu to your existing whole screen setup. It does not include whole screen itself, and it does not include wireless Android Auto.
The problem it solves
On PCM 6, the factory menu bar stays on screen while CarPlay or Android Auto is running, so every Porsche menu is one tap away. With whole screen on PCM 5 that bar is gone: to reach any other PCM menu you go back to the CarPlay or Android Auto home screen, then tap the car icon to return to PCM.
What this upgrade does
- Move your hand towards the screen and the factory menu bar appears. CarPlay or Android Auto shrinks at the same moment to make room for it.
- Move your hand away and the bar hides. CarPlay or Android Auto expands back to the whole screen on its own.
- Tap any factory menu directly from the bar, without leaving CarPlay or Android Auto first.
- The right-hand extension menu that only PCM 5 has can be opened as well. That was not possible in whole screen before.
PCM 6 keeps its menu bar on screen all the time. Yours gives that space back to the map whenever you are not reaching for it.
CarPlay and Android Auto themselves are not changed. This is the on-screen layout of your PCM 5.

Who is this for?
PCM 5 owners who already bought Whole Screen CarPlay / Android Auto from us. It works whether you use CarPlay, Android Auto or both.
Does it include wireless Android Auto?
No. Native wireless Android Auto is in the PCM5 to PCM6 Upgrade, which also includes this dynamic menu. If you want both, buy that product instead of this one.
Does it change CarPlay or Android Auto?
No. CarPlay and Android Auto stay exactly as they are. Only the PCM 5 on-screen layout changes: the factory menu bar appears when your hand approaches the screen and hides when it moves away.
Do I need a computer?
No. You need a USB stick or SD card and an internet connection for the car. Nothing stays plugged in afterwards.
I do not have Whole Screen yet. Can I buy this?
Not on its own. Buy Whole Screen CarPlay + Android Auto for PCM5 first; new Whole Screen orders already include the dynamic menu.

Copy the file to the root of an SD/USB stick (FAT32), start the car and insert it — a Software Update screen runs automatically and installs a small helper; remove the card at Update successful.
