Cela aurait-il un effet sur autre chose dans l'interface utilisateur d'origine de la voiture ?

Non, rien d'autre ne sera modifié, seule la résolution sera augmentée en haute résolution

Pourquoi devrais-je faire cette mise à jour ?

PCM5 est livré avec un écran large de 12 pouces prenant en charge une résolution de 1920 x 720. Cependant, le Carplay et Android Auto d'origine n'utilisent que 800 x 600 (2/3 de l'écran). La mise à niveau vers 1920 x 720 unifiera entièrement la capacité de l'écran et offrira une expérience utilisateur complètement différente.

Qu'est-ce que l'installation procédure ?

L'installation sera assurée à distance et ne nécessite que des équipements très simples tels qu'un ordinateur Windows et un adaptateur Ethernet et WIFI...etc.  Nous fournirons les instructions une fois la commande passée et vous devrez également fournir le numéro de version du système pour que nous puissions préparer les données d'installation en conséquence.

What is the Sport + Sport Plus (Sport Chrono) upgrade?

  • The Sport Chrono upgrade retrofits original Porsche Sport Chrono functionality to vehicles that were not factory-optioned with this package. It unlocks Sport and Sport Plus driving modes, Launch Control, and the Sport Response button, with full OEM-level system integration.

Which Porsche models are supported?

  • Faster gear shifts at higher RPM

  • Firmer suspension on PASM-equipped vehicles

  • All selected modes are displayed directly in the instrument cluster, identical to factory Sport Chrono vehicles.

 

Does this upgrade include Launch Control?

  • Yes.
    Launch Control is enabled on PDK-equipped vehicles, allowing maximum acceleration from a standstill.

 

What is the Sport Response button?

  • The Sport Response button activates 30 seconds of peak performance, optimizing engine and transmission response.
    This feature is available on PDK-equipped models and is ideal for overtaking or spirited driving.

Does Macan require PIWIS coding?

  • No.
    For Porsche Macan (2019+), Sport Chrono can be fully activated using our proprietary activation module, with no PIWIS coding required.

 

Why do other Porsche models require PIWIS coding?

  • For 718, 911, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan models, Porsche requires PIWIS coding to:

  • Register Sport Chrono functions in factory control units

Can PIWIS coding be done remotely?

    Remote activation is supported when PIWIS equipment is available.

  • If you do not have a PIWIS system:

  • We can loan a PIWIS unit (fees and refundable bond apply), or

  • Coding can be completed by a qualified workshop with PIWIS access

Can Sport Chrono be enabled by only changing the button or steering wheel?

  • No.
    Simply adding a Chrono button or replacing the steering wheel will not enable Sport Chrono functionality.
    A dedicated activation module (and PIWIS coding where required) is essential.

Is this equivalent to factory Sport Chrono?

  • Yes.
    Once installed and activated, the system behaves the same as factory Sport Chrono, including:

  • Instrument cluster display

  • Driving mode logic

  • Integration with PASM, PDCC, PDK, and stability control systems

What is this upgrade?

  • This retrofit activates the factory steering wheel diamond button to skip tracks in Apple CarPlay and Android Autoon Porsche PCM 4 vehicles.

  • From factory, the diamond button can skip tracks only when using Bluetooth audio or radio, but it does not function in CarPlay or Android Auto on PCM 4 systems—forcing drivers to exit navigation to change music.
